  My cousin and I had a weekend together at Morongo, and we came to Palm Springs for dinner on Saturday night.  The first Italian restaurant we went to did not wow us with their initial greeting and service, so we left and found Kalura Trattoria.
  
  We were definitely wowed!  They were so welcoming and so nice to us.  The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and I love the little nook where we were seated.  Their brick walls give a very nice aesthetic touch.
  
  We shared the spinach salad with grilled salmon, an appetizer of thinly sliced beef, mushrooms, and shaved cheese in truffle oil, an order of lasagna, and an order of rigatoni in Alfredo sauce with chicken.
  
  We had tons of leftovers because the servings were so generous, and it tasted like we'd died and gone to heaven.
  
  I accidentally spilled my glass of rose halfway through dinner, and three servers swooped in, cleaned everything up, and served me a second glass of wine in under two minutes.
  
  We would have ordered dessert, but we were far too full.
  
  Thank you for a beautiful evening. We loved it.

  Just had dinner at Kalura Trattoria.
  Rating  should be  a -10
  Ordered the " homemade Lasagna. It was Frozen Lasagna no taste water in the plate. So sad. Zero Taste. Had to repeatedly ask for bread. "Really"
  Just do not order the mozzarella for a appetizer just wrong. Canned sauce and cold at service. Absolutely horrible.  
  Wife ordered the linguine pasta with lobster and shrimp. No taste. Frozen shrimp frozen lobster. What a disappointment.
  Had to ask repeatedly for bread and water.
  Service was at best a -1.
  The staff was sitting at the bar talking all through service just a bad experience.
  Avoid this place
  Service horrible. Food, A frozen dinner has more taste. And you will save $100.00  Over priced and just sad food. Service well just terrible.
  Simply avoid this place.

  Made a reservation for 8 pm. We kinda had a hard time finding parking so I called them and let them know we were running a little behind. They told us it was no problem. The food was absolutely to die for! We got the mozzarella with marinara  then the entree's! So much food we had to take it home. They thought there was something wrong with it because we were so full so quick lol. We will definitely be back and I have told a couple of people about this place already.
  
  If you're looking for a cute date night spot, this is it.

  Please do not go here.   They automatically add gratuity and the service is horrible.  Seriously. The worst ever.  
  
  Zero stars if I could.  Horrible horrible service.  Looks like a family ran place with a zero fu@ks attitude across the board.  Hostess wearing ripped jeans and some kind of tee-shirt ?  Really ?  For $25.00 a plate I would expect more from them.  Took about 20 minutes for someone to bring a menu. The only decent servers are the back waiters and bussers.    
  
  Restrooms in a sketchy building OUTSIDE and down the sidewalk.   Horrible and dirty with a gas station key.
  
  Saw two servers the entire time the owner in jeans just walking around doing absolutely nothing.  
  
  Bread tasteless.  
  
  Meal was good. But for 25.00 a plate again I would expect a lot more.  
  
  Literally no one came to our table after our meal was served to check in or ask if we needed anything.  Thankfully the back waiter came by to clear the plates.  
  
  Had to ask for the check and here's the kicker !....  they automatically add a 15% gratuity for a party of 4?  I can see a larger party but this explains the shitty service because they add it automatically !  
  
  Literally the worst service I have ever experienced even in Europe!  Do yourself a favor and keep walking   I can't even tell you how awful this place is.    
  
  I left this place really disenchanted and disgusted.  For the area it is in there are way more places to eat with better service.   Never again.

  We only ordered some fried calamari and it tasted just ok. Their cheesecake is pretty nice. The overall price is pretty affordable. But i wouldn't go there again
